We look forward to getting to know your son. PRAISE addresses each scholar individually. Our mission is to nurture, educate, and graduate young men who are civic-minded, critical thinkers, skillful problem solvers and of exemplary character.
The PRAISE College Readiness Program for Boys is a direct response to the unfortunate trend of academic failure amongst African American males. PRAISE is an academic and cultural enrichment program in Baltimore which works with secondary students on Saturdays during the school year.
The PRAISE curriculum is diverse and intensive, concentrating on analytical skills, reading comprehension, public speaking, writing, personal and social responsibility, entrepreneurship, and academic excellence. Courses include areas such as African cultures, Technology, Community Development, SAT Prep, College Readiness, Mathematics, Literature, Arts, and much more.
This PRAISE College Readiness Program helps students achieve their maximum potential and enhance their chances for academic success. Classes, program, and mentoring provide students with opportunities for skill development designed to improve aptitude in writing, reading, and mathematics.
Our longtime teachers and staff are dedicated to helping each child discover their unique potential – academically, socially, and interpersonally.
We invite you to learn more about us and to visit our classrooms soon. We are located on the campus of Johns Hopkins University School of Education Building.
