Every year, we receive an overwhelming response from parents/guardians, all wanting a spot for their child to be able to attend PRAISE. Generally those who qualify reside in Baltimore City, and attend public schools; however, we do accept students from private & parochial schools. During this time, students are evaluated and, along with their parents, are interviewed. About 40 to 45 prospective scholars are invited to attend a Summer Leadership Academy from late June to late July. In early August, up to 40 students are offered scholarships of $3,000 per year. Boys are selected on the basis of financial need, motivation, personal and academic promise, and parental support. Our benefactors who sponsor these scholarships include individuals, corporations, foundations, churches and societies, and other organizations.
